Your privacy matters to me. This page explains, in plain English, what information I keep, why I keep it and the choices you have.
Who I am
Hair By Neetu is a private hair studio in Hounslow, West London, run by Neetu. I am responsible for the personal information described on this page. If you have any questions about it, message me on WhatsApp on 07904 388484.
The information I keep
When you contact me or book an appointment, I may keep:
- your name and phone number;
- the messages you send me on WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok or by phone, including any photos of your hair;
- your appointment history, prices paid and notes about your hair and the colours used;
- the date and result of your patch test;
- any health information you choose to tell me that affects your treatment, for example allergies, sensitivities or pregnancy. I only use this to keep you safe.
If you pay by card, the payment is handled by the card provider. I never see or keep your full card details.
Why I keep it
- To book and carry out your appointment, and to give you the right aftercare.
- To keep you safe, for example by recording your patch test and any allergies. I only keep health information with your agreement.
- To run my business properly, for example keeping financial records for tax.
- To share photos of your hair on my website and social media, but only if you have said yes. I never show your face without your permission, and you can change your mind at any time.
Who I share it with
I never sell your information. It is only shared with the services I use to run my business, such as WhatsApp and my phone provider, my card payment provider, my website host and my accountant, or where the law requires it, for example HMRC.
How long I keep it
- Client notes, patch test records and appointment history: while you are a client and for up to 2 years after your last appointment.
- Financial records: for 6 years, as required for tax.
- Photos on my website or social media: until you ask me to remove them.
Cookies on this website
This website does not have any forms and does not ask you to sign in. It uses:
- Essential cookies that make the website work, including one that remembers your cookie choice.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics), only if you click “Accept”. They tell me which pages people visit, roughly where they are, what device they use and whether they tap the WhatsApp or phone buttons. This helps me improve the website. I cannot see who you are.
The website also loads its fonts from Google, and links to Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp and Google Maps. If you follow those links, their own privacy policies apply.
You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings, which is also at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to:
- see the information I hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information, unless I have to keep it by law;
- stop using your photos or withdraw any permission you have given.
